Next theme - 'Age' ??

Apparently I’m the lucky one who gets to choose the next theme – this is actually harder than I thought, but how about age? I thought this could apply to so many things, people, landscape, objects, the actual materials we use, growth, experience, memories, souvenirs, decay, birth etc.

What do we think?

  • It’s your call Carla!
I think it’s a good one though. As you say plenty of scope for interpretation. Should give us an interesting exhibition at the end.
When are you going to set as the opening date for the exhibition?

How about the 1st May? I think that gives us about the same amount of time as we had for Carnival, (I might be wrong on this as I’m only guessing).

  • Great theme, opens up to a wide range of possebilities. I see a mind map unfolding already. May first is fine for me, too.

  • 1st May is fine with me too. My head is already buzzing with ideas for this challenge theme.

Hi Ruth, sorry to have been invisible lately, bit manic here. C&G Level 3 piece taking over plus life getting in the way.

getting some ideas…I’m going to have to put some effort in to keep up with you guys. Busy finihsing my C&G Level 3 piece, which is nearly 2m high and very awkward, so looking forward to doing something I can hold easily! Went to V&A yesterday and looked at the textiles section where they have hundreds of items in sliding vertical drawers. Particularly liked the way the wood had changed colour where the drawers had been sliding in and out for years….possilby an inspiration for this piece.
