Sampler

my first attempt at cross-stitch since I was about eight and we did it at school. I know this isn’t properly an Age piece, but this is all I did this month.

    Thanks for sharing what you have been up to this month. A sampler is something I associate with Victorian girls so it does have a connection for me to our theme. Echoes my original thoughts for this theme.

    Lois, Your sampler had me searching out a wonderful cross stitch book called Exploring Cross Stitch – a notebook, by Audrey Ormrod. The cross stitch is such a versatile stitch and still one of my favourites.

    Thanks Gill, I’ll try to have a look at that book. I surprised myself by how much I enjoyed doing it and I have received lots of ‘me too’ stories from it as well, which is fun.
