The theme immediately suggested the ages of man. I did my usual mind map to explore other ideas but in the end came back to my original thought. I researched the ages of man. I was familiar with the Shakespearean speak from As You Like It: All the worlds a stage, According to Wikipedia, Pangaea was a supercontinent which existed about 250 million years ago before the component continents were separated into the current configuration. Geologists discovered that the geological structures of the rocks in South West Africa and South East Brazil were distinctively identical and the age of the rocks at these two areas was [...] my first attempt at cross-stitch since I was about eight and we did it at school. I know this isn’t properly an Age piece, but this is all I did this month. wisdom Well isn’t it interesting how many of us have ended up doing something related to dementia? I liked the idea of recycling things and so I started thinking about what I could use. One of the assessment pieces for my C&G course [...] I’ve been pre-occupied with my final assessment piece for my C&G. I finished it at Easter, which didn’t leave me with much time to produce something for our current challenge. I’ve not been completely idle though. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking. My first idea was to make something with my stash of old [...] Apparently I’m the lucky one who gets to choose the next theme – this is actually harder than I thought, but how about age? I thought this could apply to so many things, people, landscape, objects, the actual materials we use, growth, experience, memories, souvenirs, decay, birth etc. What do we think? |
